About Samantha
Samantha helps people of all ages learn to sing, play, and enjoy music in a calm, friendly, no-pressure environment. She’s big on how simple mindfulness and breathing can help you stay relaxed, focused, and more confident —especially when you’re developing your skills musically or in meditation/ relaxation.
Samantha has worked with people of all ages, from Daycare to Aged Care, including: music therapy assistant, instrumental tutor, intergenerational learning co-ordinator & as a registered complimentary therapist. Samantha has worked in supporting group singing research, arts in health projects, plus therapeutic practice during The Apology.
She has performed many community gigs, theatre shows & pantomimes and orchestral concerts, plus directed an arts integrated (drama, poetry & music) Easter Service for a church congregation.
A big part of what she teaches is ear training: learning to hear things properly, copy what you hear, and build real confidence without needing sheet music all the time. Researchers call it a full brain workout, helping cognitively —as it sharpens your listening, memory, timing, visual & motor skills and helps you “get” music in a practical way. She's worked with researchers observing wellness benefits of group singing & currently works with a community choir supporting mental health.
Whether you’re a total beginner or you’ve been playing for years and want to tighten things up, Samantha runs sessions that are hands-on, easy to follow, and actually enjoyable, tailored to your musical & wellness preferences.
Samantha’s goal is simple: make ear training & relaxation easy to access, fun to learn, and something you can do with others. She believes music is for everyone—and learning to play by ear helps you feel more connected to your instrument, your voice, and the music you love.
